Ava Mangold (she/her) was born and raised in Connecticut and is a rising senior at the University of Toronto in Canada with a double major in Political Science and Criminology. As a student in Canada, she has fostered a strong understanding of international politics through her experience living in a diverse city while also taking courses that range from Russian politics to Latin American politics. Ava hopes to use her knowledge of international politics as a RepresentWomen research intern to analyze women’s representation and leadership in other countries. As for her future endeavors—Ava is currently studying for the LSAT exam and is planning to attend law school in the fall of 2023. Often mistaken as the sorority-girl-turned-lawyer Elle Woods from the cult classic Legally Blonde, Ava plans on captivating future courtrooms and becoming the ultimate “girlboss”.
