Meet the Team: Ana Araújo

By RepresentWomen on June 23, 2021

Hi! My name is Ana, I’m from Brazil and I’m a Multimedia Intern at RepresentWomen. I’m currently in my third year of university studying Radio, TV, Internet and media in general. Since I was little, I’ve known that the vast industry of communication would be where I most feel at home, and that’s why I changed everything in me to study it and connect it with my passions of film and photography, while seeking new opportunities to learn more about different cultures.

My history with feminism began a long time ago when I used to read books where the protagonist was a powerful strong woman who saves the world or just watch movies where the female character didn’t have to have superpowers to show that she can also be a strong leader. I like to think that they made me who I am today because reading or watching them gave me the strength to know that I too, can be just like that. And that’s why I want to empower women more and more, because I want to make them feel the same as I do and show that they can win, run, serve and lead by keeping people informed through media resources. Working with RepresentWomen is the right place to help me achieve that, I love their message and I’m really looking forward to working with this amazing team of women, always pitching new ideas to help make the world a more equal place.

When I’m not working or studying you can always find me cooking while I blast my favorite bands on speakers or reading a book with a nice cup of tea by my side. Also, I love to talk about movies of different genres and I would love to hear any recommendations!
