Her varied career has also included roles in education and economic development. As a freelance journalist, Laura has been published in outlets such as The Washington Post, The Lily, and The Atavist Magazine. She is passionate about bringing her skills as a storyteller to help achieve gender parity in government. A DC native, Laura lives near Annapolis with her children and menagerie.
