Katie Murnane

Katie Murnane is a research intern at RepresentWomen. Though technically a senior at Marist College in Poughkeepsie, New York, Katie is spending her final semester at American University through their Washington Semester Program. Over the course of her college career, Katie also spent a semester in London, where she interned in Parliament during the whirlwind Brexit negotiations of 2018 and found a passion for political institutions and research. Following her time abroad, Katie decided to leave the chilly Hudson Valley and come to DC to complete her studies in Political Science. At RepresentWomen, Katie hopes to learn more about how  government and politics can be reformed to elect more women to office. In her free time, you can find Katie binge-watching indie movies and searching for new recipes!
